I had applied for the JET program and unfortunately I got a nice rejection letter that they were not even going to bother interviewing me. So here I am now in Melbourne for another english school interview.
To make sure I gave a good initial impression I ended up being late because I decided at the last minute that I wasn't happy with the photos that I had and went to get some passport photos done "properly".
The interview consisted of a spiel about the company, a 100 question grammar test and a roleplay. There were only 5 interviewees that bothered to show up. The grammar test was amazingly difficult. In most cases I guessed and thanks to the sweet baby jesus I passed. Ironically 2 asian girls didn't make it through. It was myself, Marcus and Rachel that made the cut. I went to the War Memorial to chill and try to take it in that I actually was accepted.
